Description:
The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) is to establish a list qualified Winter Grounds Maintenance service providers who can provide winter grounds services based on the Region-s requirements to various Regional facilities located throughout the Region of Durham using the highest quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship, in a cost effective, operationally satisfactory and environmentally safe manner for a period of three years.
This contract is for the provision of winter maintenance services to include all labour, material and equipment to perform services consisting of snow clearing from gates, egress locations, front entrances, walkways, driveways, sidewalks, parking spaces and culverts, as well as spring clean-up.
Removal of accumulated snow off-site will be on an “as requested” basis and is considered an extra to the Contract. All work, materials and equipment shall be subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal legislation, by-laws and regulations. It is the expectation that the Contractor will perform the work in a timely manner and to such a degree that it will not impede or jeopardize the safe access/egress of Regional staff and/or the public to Regional buildings and parking areas.
