Description:
The Corporation of the Township of Langley (the “Township”) is seeking responses to a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) from parties interested in then a new Willoughby Community Centre Project using an Integrated Project Delivery (“IPD").
The new Community Centre to be located in the Willoughby neighbourhood. A site has been identified at the south of Yorkson Community Park site, facing 80th Avenue. This facility is to include a new community aquatic centre with a 37.5m lap pool with a moveable floor and single bulkhead, leisure pool, hot pool and sauna and steam, along with other community and recreation spaces such as a library, gymnasiums, multipurpose rooms, and other supporting spaces. The estimated size of the community centre is 7,500-8,500 square metres. The Township is in the early stages of site fit and feasibility review for establishing a budget target for the project to be included in the 2024-2028 Five Year Capital Plan. With new development and growth in the Willoughby Community of the Township, amenities and community resources are important to the residents they serve. The Township is looking to address one of those needs by constructing and completing the Willoughby Community Centre.
