Description:
This Request for Bid (RFB) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (the Agency) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of Wildfire Mitigation work in Saskatchewan as further described in the RFB Particulars (Appendix A). The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is entering into year four (4) of a nine (9) year program and has identified 27 communities that require forest vegetation thinning and brush pile burning services across Saskatchewan. SPSA delivers wildfire prevention, detection, monitoring and suppression to protect people, property and forests at risk and prevent personal, business and provincial infrastructure losses. It promotes awareness of wildfire risk and associated prevention measures and maintains ground resources, an aerial wildfire fighting fleet, and tower wildfire detection and weather networks. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada. The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency safeguards and protects the people, property, and resources of Saskatchewan through partnerships, coordinated planning, education, prevention, mitigation, response, and recovery.
