Description:
The Forestry Division, which is responsible for the investigation of wildfires within the forest protection area of Alberta, requires qualified Contractors to provide expert opinions on subjects such as power transmission and distribution infrastructure, oil and gas infrastructure, railroads/locomotion, metallurgy and/or materials analysis. Services could include the examination of downed or damaged power line infrastructure, the examination of flare stacks and related infrastructure, or providing input on the development of wildfire investigation training/reference materials. Subject matter experts should be able to qualify as such in a court of law, and provide opinion evidence. In addition to expertise in the technical aspects of the field, the Contractor should have knowledge on the policies, and operating procedures common to their field of expertise. The Province will request Services on an “as-needed” basis, based upon the specific requirements of an investigation, with no guarantee of work. Upon Services being requested, the Contractor shall provide experienced staff, fully equipped with all necessary equipment and supplies. Contractors may be required to travel throughout the Province on short notice.**Multiple Contracts will be awarded**
