- Introduction:**The Wabasca/Desmarais Housing Authority (WDHA) is seeking proposals from qualified, independent, external auditors for a three-year engagement, with the potential for renewal. WDHA operates under the Alberta Housing Act and is responsible for managing approximately 150 rental housing units and the Keekenow Senior Facility, a 60-bed senior support living facility.
**Project Description:**This RFP is for the provision of external audit services for WDHA for the fiscal years 2024 through 2025, with an optional renewal for up to two additional years. The financial year for WDHA runs from January 1 to December 31. The selected auditor will be responsible for conducting annual financial audits and providing required reporting in accordance with Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS).
**Scope of Work:**- Conduct annual consolidated financial audits for WDHA, including the rental housing operations and the Keekenow Senior Facility.- Perform specified procedures as required by Alberta Social Housing Corporation.- Meet with WDHA's Executive Director and Board of Directors to discuss the audit plan and findings.
