Description:
The cleaning, maintenance, and repair requirements of the two tanks are generally the same, however only the WTP tank can be taken offline for service at present. The Windcrest Ave tank provides essential balancing and fire storage to the system and requires more extensive modifications to the pumping systems to be taken offline. Bypass operation and draining of tank (performed by Town staff) • Sludge removal and disposal (no onsite wastewater facilities are available) • Pressure wash and brush clean floor and interior of steel panels • Resealing of any damage steel sheets with manufacturer or owner approved sealant. • Exterior panel pressure washing • Replacement of all corrosion control anodes • Repair of any apparent leaks or broken seals between panels and floor by manufacturer-approved means. • Resealing of domed knuckle roof at joints. • Supply and install new roof vent (sized to match existing) and new manway gasket. • Refilling and disinfection in conjunction with Town staff (testing by Town) and in accordance with AWWA C652 latest edition. The scope of work at the Windcrest Ave reservoir includes: • In-service removal of floating debris. • In-service removal of accumulated sludge at reservoir bottom. • Resealing of any damage steel sheets with manufacturer or owner approved sealant. • In-service replacement of all corrosion control anodes • Resealing of domed knuckle roof at joints. • Supply and installation of repair panel and flashing for damaged roof section.
