Description:
The Township is looking to convert the current meter reading system with a fixed-base remote read AMI system that will provide the Township with daily readings of metered consumption. The current meter reading system is a mix of both drive by reads and AMI reads. The Township will not accept bids that mix systems, or result in multiple systems. The proposal must not result in two different AMR networks, Meter Management Software applications, or methods for importing into NorthStar.
The proposal must provide, at a minimum, the following benefits to the Township:
Provide early notice of leaks and high consumption,Provide a web-portal to review water usage,Perform meter reading activities without drive-by or touchpad requirements (the Township requires the ability to still do drive-by, walk-by and touchpad where operationally required),Acquire consumption reads daily with hourly usage,Reduce resources needed for on/off reads or move-in/move-out reads,Ability to easily extend meter reading to new growth areas,Upgrade older meters to new, more accurate meters
