- The City of Red Deer (The City) invites qualified consulting firms to provide comprehensive engineering services for the re-development of landfill cells at the Waste Management Facility (WMF). Following a recent amendment, the WMF has been approved to increase the final waste elevation of the existing landfill to 940 meters above sea level (masl). With the implementation of a multi-stage development plan, the redevelopment project encompasses the design, procurement, construction, and post-construction services, which includes stripping of existing final cover, constructing a runoff prevention berm, decommissioning and removing landfill gas (LFG) vertical extraction wells, and capping LFG collection piping.
