- Description:
- The Wareham Lake Intake Hoist Upgrade project will replace the existing Wareham Lake Intake Hoist System which was installed in 2013. The intake gate, intake gate enclosure building, concrete deck and embedded parts will be reused, while the hoist system will be replaced with a new hoist system designed to allow YEC maintenance staff to perform regular inspection and maintenance on the intake gate as well as the new raised hoist. Currently, there is no means of raising the intake gate to a maintenance position without removing the gate hoist and using chain falls to raise the intake gate and suspend it off the exiting monorail beam.
