Description : The Victoria Community Dialysis Unit (VCDU) is located at 4392 West Saanich Road in Victoria. For patients with renal disease, ongoing dialysis treatments are life sustaining. The purpose of this project is to replace the reverse osmosis water system and related equipment used for renal dialysis treatment, as it is reaching the end of life. The water treatment equipment, the new RO loop, and a temporary DI loop for use during system commissioning will all be supplied and installed by Canadian Water Technologies Ltd. (CWT), who has been contracted by Island Health. The construction manager and their sub trades will complete the remaining scope. The construction manager will be the primarily responsible for the site including safety and infection control. Demolition scope includes the removal of existing flush lines, drainage piping, and wall boxes. The new work includes drainage piping, new flushing supply line, electrical modifications (except those associated directly with water treatment equipment), installation of wall boxes (supplied by CWT), millwork modifications, and the installation of one door.
