  Detailed_Description : The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness ("OMAFA") is seeking Bidders to join a Vendor of Record (VOR) arrangement for the provision of spokesperson services for the Foodland Ontario Program.Preferred Bidders joining this VOR will act as spokespersons, generating media coverage via television appearances, social media, and in-person events across the province communicating the taste, appeal and freshness of Ontario food in the form of recipe demonstrations and/or information segments.Diversity is one of the core values in the Ministry. In order to better reflect the diversity of the people of Ontario that we serve, the Ministry encourages interested candidates of all backgrounds to apply to join this VOR and become spokespersons for the Foodland Ontario Program.
  Scope of Work : Foodland Ontario promotes Ontario food on television stations, via social media and in-person at events across the province. The Vendor, as a spokesperson, will at the Ministry-s request prepare recipes and demonstrate recipes and/or provide information Segments:- on live television and/or taped segments for airing at a later date;- via social media through a reel/video; and/or- attending an in-person event. Television and social media presentations may be done in studio or virtually via Zoom/FaceTime/Microsoft Teams from your kitchen. Each recipe or information segment is typically given 3-5 minutes of airtime.The recipes prepared will be Foodland Ontario recipes and will be provided to the Vendor along with key messaging by the Ministry from Foodland Ontario-s extensive database. The television cooking or information Segments/demonstrations usually fit into individual television station foreground programming, typically within a local morning show or as part of a “newsmagazine” format over the lunch hour. Foodland Ontario works closely with individual television station producers to provide a spokesperson(s) to deliver these Segments in an extremely timely fashion, often linked to Ontario food seasonality and in many cases with very short turnaround times.Fees paid to Bidders cover research, procuring ingredients for the recipe (using Ontario ingredients being promoted), preparing the recipe in advance to show the finished dish when doing a demonstration.
