Detailed_Description : Supply Ontario (SO) is seeking responses to a Request for Bids (RFB) for Vehicle Acquisition and Upfitting Services.SO establishes enterprise-wide Vendor of Record (VOR) arrangements for various commodities that may be accessed by the Ontario Public Service (OPS) and Non-OPS Entities across Ontario.The objective of the RFB is to establish a VOR arrangement with multiple Vendors for vehicle acquisition and upfitting on a continuous and as-needed basis to support OPS fleet requirements and for various Clients across Ontario in accordance with the RFB.The anticipated VOR arrangement established by the RFB will replace the existing VOR arrangement for Vehicle Acquisition and Upfitting which will expire on June 30, 2024.
Scope of Work : The Vehicle Acquisition and Upfitting Services VOR arrangement is divided into three separate sub-categories that are described below. It is expected that an enterprise-wide VOR arrangement will be established as follows:•Category 1 - General Vehicle Acquisition Including Police/Special Service Enforcement Vehicles;•Category 2 - General Vehicle Upfitting and Accessories; and•Category 3 - Custom Vehicle Fabrication.A Bidder may bid on one or more categories and must have the infrastructure and supply network in place to serve and support all regions of Ontario.Category 1 - General Vehicle Acquisition Including Police/Special Service Enforcement Vehicles includes the acquisition of general vehicles, including passenger, light commercial and enforcement vehicles for various Clients across Ontario. The ability to provide and upfit police/special service enforcement vehicles with a Tier 1 upfitter will not be a mandatory requirement.Category 2 - General Vehicle Upfitting and Accessories includes the upfitting of a wide range of vehicles including but not limited to non-police/special service enforcement or emergency response vehicles, highway maintenance trucks, etc. before final shipment of the finished vehicle to the delivering dealership. This includes the supply and installation of various products such as lighting packages, centre console, laptop/printer mounts, truck cap, bed slide, etc.Category 3 - Custom Vehicle Fabrication includes vehicles such as emergency management, prisoner transport, fish culture, mobile command units, etc. where customization will be required. In this category, there are two ordering options - either the bidder will be required to provide the base vehicle and the upfitting required OR the OPS client will provide the base vehicle and the vendor will only be required to do the upfitting.
