Description:
The University of Toronto (the “University”) is seeking responses to this RFP from an experienced team for professional services as the Owner-s technical representative relating to the preparation of Project Specific Output Specifications (PSOS) documents and compliance monitoring for the UTSC Field House (the “Project”) located at 1050 Military Trail at the Scarborough Campus. The project site is located east of Morningside Avenue, north of Ellesmere Road, and west of Conlins Road. Due to its proximity to a landfill site, environmental testing will be required. The proposed facility will have a gross building area of approximately 7,194 gsm and will consist of two primary components: a large volume athletic structure and an adjoining support space. The athletic structure will house a FIFA regulation field that can be subdivided into three smaller soccer pitches using ceiling mounted curtains. The support space will be a single storey structure containing changerooms, washrooms, administrative offices, a student hub/lounge, studio spaces, storage areas, and building services. No below grade area is anticipated.A feasibility study has been completed. An option has been selected as the indicative design for developing the PSOS documents for the Design-Build RFP.
