Description:
The District of Sicamous (the “District”) is seeking expressions of interest from the general public looking to use the District-owned modular accommodation facility (the “Facility”) at 1117A Eagle Pass Way. The District purchased the Facility in 2020 for housing seasonal sports teams and other recreational users. In March of 2024, the main tenant of the Facility gave notice that they would no longer be requiring the Facility. The past tenant of the Facility entered into a part-year lease agreement with the District (September 1 to March 31). From April to August, the Facility has been used to house a variety of users, including umpires for local fastball tournaments, players for summer hockey camps and firefighters during local emergencies. The Facility is set up in a bunkhouse style, with 12 rooms, each equipped with one bunk bed. There are two communal toilet facilities and one communal shower room with laundry. Two of the rooms have their own designated full washroom. There is one communal kitchen, dining and entertainment area.
