- The University of Calgary (UCalgary) plans to purchase the Simoa HD-X Analyzer, a fully automated digital immunoassay instrument including Simoa Microplate Shaker, 2 year extended warranty, control and analysis software, proprietary disposable microfluidic array discs and assay reagents from Quanterix Corporation. The HD-X Analyzer is a fully automated system that processes the entire assay protocol (dilution, reagent addition, incubation, washing, detection and analysis).To the research team-s knowledge, Quanterix Corporation is the sole supplier that can provide a fully automated, multiplex digital immunoassay system utilizing proprietary Simoa bead-based technology that provides a minimum fg/ml ultra-sensitive measurement for detecting protein biomarkers. The HD-X Analyzer also supports the use of Simoa homebrew assays allowing users to create custom assays for protein biomarkers and PK/PD applications, which is necessary for the research team.
