Description:
The University of Alberta (the “University”) is located in Edmonton, Alberta. It is the largest post-secondary institution in the province. The University also ranks among the top five (5) universities in Canada.This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry - Medical Microbiology and Immunology Department. The University is inviting Proponents with demonstrated experience in providing Computing Hardware and Software support. The Hardware will consist of Two (2) Storage Nodes, Three (3) GPU Nodes, Network switches, cables and accessories to connect servers to network switches. The Software component will include the installation and configuration of cluster management software and Cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) specific scientific packages.The successful Proponent will be expected to supply equipment and software as well as provide remote support for the installation of hardware and software. The Proponent is to provide information regarding their experience in the field of Cryo-EM.This equipment will serve as computation and storage support for users of the Thermo Fisher Scientific (TFS) Titan Krios G4 transmission electron microscope.
