- Description:
- Description:This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (the "University") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for a two-dimensional infrared (2D-IR) spectrometer, funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Ontario Research Fund.THEDELIVERABLES: The University of Ottawa is pleased to invite qualified vendors to submit a proposal for a complete solution to implement 2D-IR spectroscopy, including the optical pulse shaper to generate the excitation pulse sequence, the time delay scanning stage, the sample cell holder and the imagingspectrograph and dual-line HgCdTe array detector to record the emitted signal. The system should be able to operate at up to a 100 kHz repetition rate. The project will establish a two-dimensional infrared (2D-IR) spectrometer—the first of its kind in Canada—for use in chemistry, physics, and materialsscience applications. 2D-IR spectroscopy uses a sequence of three mid-IR laser fields to induce a nonlinear response in a material sample. Pulse-shaper based spectrometers provide the greatest flexibility of pulse sequence design with enhanced ease of use. An integrated solution ensures seamlessmechanical and electronic compatibility.MANDATORY TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. 2D-IR Spectrometer: 1.1 Acousto-optic modulator (AOM) based 2D-IR spectrometer must be capable of operating at up to 100 kHz 1.2 IR HgCdTe array must have 2 rows of 64 pixels 1.3 Monochromator must have a 150-mm focallong ...
