Description:
The City of Woodstock is aiming to conduct a comprehensive municipal tree inventory and canopy study, building upon data collected from the previous tree inventory (2016) to enhance Urban forest management and planning efforts. The City of Woodstock (The City) intends to use this information to build a phased Urban Forestry Management Plan. The first phase will be composed of two parts:
The City is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a comprehensive Municipal Tree Canopy Study. This study will assess the current state of the urban forest, provide recommendations for preservation and expansion, and align with the City-s environmental and sustainability goals.The City is seeking qualified respondents for the provision of tree inventory services. Specifically, to collect and record data gathered by completing an inventory of municipal trees within the municipal road allowances and parks. This will not include city owned woodlots or naturalized areas as they will be included in a future study.
