• Description:
• Sagkeeng First Nation is calling for tenders for construction of about 840 m of shoreline erosion protection near the north side of Traverse Bay and the mouth of the Winnipeg River (Zone 14 U, 690500 E, 5611830 N). The work is to be completed over the remainder of this winter (2025/2026) before April 7 or until weather conditions no longer permit shoreline work. Major components of the work include: Excavate bank along shoreline and dispose of spoil on-site (16,500 m3) Install and place geotextile along graded bank Construct erosion protection using material produced by others (about 22,000 tonnes of 1200 mm down riprap and 10,000 tonnes of 200 mm down crushed granular). Site restoration (using topsoil, seed, and erosion control blankets)Tenders will be opened immediately following bid closing and read at TREK-s office in Winnipeg. A Bid Security in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of Total Bid Price shall accompany the tender. Contract security and bid bonds will be required by the successful bidder as outlined in the tender. Bidder shall review the submission requirements within the tender.The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
