- An advance contract award notice (ACAN) is a public notice informing the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services, or construction work to a pre-selected supplier, which allows the other suppliers to express their interest in bidding by presenting a statement of capabilities. If none of the suppliers present a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, the contracting officer can proceed to award the contract to the pre-selected supplier.
1. Definition of needs
Every year, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) offers case management staff a Parole Officer Continuous Development Training (POCDT) to allow them to develop and refine their skills and better understand how to manage the increasingly diverse and complex needs of offenders.
In this context, the Quebec region has focused its research on raising parole officers' awareness of the reality of Black offenders. This is also a clientele for whom the POs have very little resources within CSC, so this market will make it possible to offer offenders adapted interventions and referrals to community and support resources, with the aim of facilitating their reintegration.
This year, Regional Headquarters must offer a day of ethnocultural structured learning.
