Description:
Halifax Water is inviting proposals to replace the roofs on two separate buildings at the Timberlea WWTF. Each building has two roof levels, for a total of four roof areas. The scope of work and project requirements are described in the appendices of this RFQ. Halifax Water-s Timberlea Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), located at 77 Riverview Drive, was constructed in 1984. The facility-s original roof is a built-up tar system consisting of multiple layers of felt and tar, overlaid with pea gravel, fibreglass insulation, a vapour barrier, and a structural steel deck. Over the years, the roof has experienced leaks that were repaired, but there are currently two active leak areas
