Description:
The Town has partnered with the Peel District School Board at Mayfield Secondary School located at 5000 Mayfield Road to construct an artificial turf field with track and field components and the future installation of a seasonal air supported dome structure to be operational, at the latest, the start of the 2025 fall season. The existing grade beam installed is sized to accommodate a seasonal air supported structure that is approximately 320- x 215- x 65‘ intended for multi-sport use.

The Board owns and operates the property municipally known as 5000 Mayfield Road, Caledon, Ontario (the “Property”) and on which the Board operates the school known as the Mayfield Secondary School (the “School”), which Property includes an existing sports field (the “Field”); The Board has undertaken the following work (“Project”) to convert the Field into an artificial turf field, with football and soccer goals, rubberized track, a rubberized runway for long jump and triple jump, rubberized area for high jump, LED sports field lighting, scoreboard, 500 bleacher seating (the “Turf Field”), and a seasonal air supported dome with grade beam and mechanical equipment (such dome, grade beam and mechanical equipment being collectively called the “Dome”); and erect fencing around the Turf Field.
