Detailed_Description : RFB for the Supply, Delivery and Installation of One (1) Automated DNA Extraction Instrument
Scope of Work : The objective of the Deliverables is for the Vendor to Supply, Deliver and Install One (1) Automated DNA Extraction Instrument (the “Instrument”) to the Laboratory Services Branch (“LaSB”) of the Ministry located at 125 Resources Road, Etobicoke, ON (the “Site”). Following complete installation, set-up and calibration, the Instrument is required to pass performance testing.The Instrument is required by the Ministry to conduct DNA extractions and purifications on samples submitted for analysis for Cryptosporidium and Giardia, as well as microbial fecal source tracking. Analysis of samples includes water (e.g. surface, ground, and drinking water) and biosolid matrices in support of various Ontario regulations. The Instrument is required to have state-of-the-art features to support activities related to the Ministry-s regulatory and legislative activities. The System will be used by the Ministry to meet the needs of the Ministry-s programs, including the requirement for high quality data analysis of routine and litigation samples.
