Description:
Detailed_Description : The Ministry of Transportation is posting this Request for Bids (RFB) for the purposes of seeking a Bidder to provide quality print and design services for the Official Driver Handbooks and print on demand service. The Official Driver Handbooks consist of a set of five (5) books printed in both official languages (English and French) and include the following: •The Official Driver-s Handbook•The Official Motorcycle Handbook•The Official Truck Handbook•The Official Bus Handbook, and,•The Official Air Brake Handbook.These booklets provide the public with information on licensing requirements and the safe operation of various vehicle types.Vendors are asked to respond to the Ministry and provide the information requested as per the RFB requirements.
Scope of Work : The Ministry is seeking a Bidder that can design and revise content within the Official Driver Handbooks (“Handbooks”) and print the Handbooks to meet the ministry printing specifications. The Handbooks help driver license applicants prepare for the knowledge and road tests; the tests are a mandatory requirement to obtain or upgrade a driver-s licence. The Handbooks serve as key educational materials for driver license applicants to successfully pass the knowledge tests while promoting road safety.Handbooks are updated and ordered in print occasionally throughout the year when major revisions are needed, or stock availability becomes low. Handbooks once printed, will be shipped from the Vendor to the Ministry-s Publications Ontario warehouse currently located in Kanata Ontario.
