Description:
Detailed_Description : RFB for the provision, installation of, and support for an immersive technology solution to support the internal communication of meat inspection program staff at selected sites across Ontario, for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Scope of Work : The Ministry requires an end-to-end cloud-based solution, establishing a sandbox environment (including internet connectivity) at selected sites, including hardware and software, for a timeboxed engagement. The objective of this project is to evaluate immersive technology to be used by a Food Safety Inspector (FSI) in a meat plant to relay real-time communications, including high-quality images, to be used by Veterinary Scientists (VS) to advise them on dispositions, and ensure that the food animal is fit for human consumption. The successful vendor(s) are expected to take their solution to more than one designated site to set up, test, train the users and make the operation run end-to-end, with technical support. Successful vendor(s) must provide internet service/connectivity by themselves or by partnering with a 3rd party service provider, at the remote pilot locations.The pilot findings will be leveraged as valuable input for a future RFB for larger scale roll-out of remote meat inspection technology. The pilot term is 8 months (February 2024 - September 2024), including the initial setup, training, pilot testing and operational support with option to extend. The Ministry will determine the test sites. All test sites will be provincially licensed slaughter plants in Ontario within 500 km of Toronto.
