Tender Details : Description of Work the City of Summerside is in the Process of Creating Five New Skybox Suite, and One New Media Box Suite at the Credit Union Place (Cup). the Cup is Located at 511 Notre Dame St, in Summerside, Pe It is the Intent of This Contact, Subject to the Citys Budgetary Approvals, is to Construct the New Suites Within the Cup Arena As Indicated on the Projects Drawings and Specifications. Bidders Shall Submit a Price For: Removal of Existing Features, and Supply and Installation Of; Structural Steel, Concrete, Partitions, Seating, Movable Walls, Finished Floor, Electrical Features, Ceilings, Bathrooms and All Associated Items As Indicated on the Project Drawings and Specifications. Furniture Fit-Up is Not Included in This Contract. the Contract Price will Include All Costs for the Construction, Removal, and Reinstatement where Required. the Contractor is Also Responsible for the Disposal of All Demolished and Unwanted Construction Materials. As the Cup will Remain As a Functioning Public Space During the Construction Period, the Contractor Shall Consider the Following: - Main Concourse Level of Arena Shall be Hoarded of with Plywood Wall Partitions to Create a Safe Zone for Arena Users and Spectators. Plywood Wall Shall be Painted a Solid Color (Color to be Chosen by Owners Representative). Exact Extents of the Hoarding Walls Shall be Concise Enough to Allow for Safe Construction Practices and Reduce the Amount of Spectator Seating that Need to be Temporarily Removed. - City will be Completing Ice Making Activities October 26Th to October 30Th, 2020. Access to the Ice Surface During This Period is Prohibited. - After October 30Th, 2020, All Construction Procedures Requiring the Use of the Arena Ice Surface Must be Completed During the Hours of 6Am to 4Pm, Monday to Friday. Contractor Must Leave Ice Surface and Return It to a Useable State at 4Pm of Each Construction Day. Ice Surface is Not be used During the Weekends or Statutory Holidays. - After October 30Th, 2020, the Contractor Must Perform Construction Procedures to Ensure Arena Ice Surface is Not Impacted. Contractor Must Consider Items Such As Limited Access for Construction Equipment, and Concrete Trucks. Contractor Shall Limit Loads to Ensure Ice Does Not Crack During Use. Examples of Alternate Construction Practices that the Contractor Must Consider Are Items Such As Supplying of Partial Loads of Concrete, Pumping Concrete from a Location Other Than on Ice Surface. Alternate Construction Practices to Ensure Ice Surface Remains Usable will be Considered Incidental to the Work. - Removal of Seats Directly Under the New Skybox Footprint will be Allowed for the Installation of Staging if Required. Removal and Replacement of Seats is at Contractor Expense. the Cup will Provide On-Site Storage of Seats if Required. City of Summerside
