Description:
The Town of Okotoks (“the Town”) is intending to award the following contract to Rani Business Ventures Inc. o/a Town Taxi.
Scope:
Town Taxi provides transportation to Community Access Program (“CAP”) Cardholders at a reduced fare, in return for a subsidy from the Town.
Town Taxi is expected to provide the following:
Taxi service to CAP Cardholders from at least 7:00am to 10:00pm Monday to Saturday and from 9:00am to 10:00pm Sundays and statutory holidays.Sufficient vehicles and drivers are available to meet the service demands for the CAP Services with average wait times of 30 minutes or less. Current service demands are listed in the table below. Scheduling for in town trips and out-of-town trips with CAP Cardholders directly.
Provide and maintain a modern fleet of vehicles with taxi signage for the CAP Services, to the satisfaction of the Town.Vehicles that are clean, smoke-free, comfortable and orderly, regularly serviced, mechanically sound, and must be appropriately licensed and insured.CAP Services to CAP Cardholders without exception. Except in circumstances that would compromise the physical safety of the driver or client. It is the intent of the Town to complete this purchase for the following reason(s):
The Town is not aware of other providers in the area with the capacity and wheelchair accessible vehicles to provide all service levels described in the scope above.
