Project Description : As a pilot program, the University of Calgary has previously used a SaaS (Software as service) application from ORIT Technologies to schedule cleaning services at a few of the campus buildings of the University of Calgary. The results of the pilot project were successful and the University of Calgary intends to purchase and deploy the software application from Orit Technologies to assist in scheduling cleaning services across all University of Calgary-s campus buildings.The new software will provide a platform for University of Calgary-s Caretaking Department to efficiently and fairly schedule cleaning tasks, make changes based on special criteria, such as seasonal variations and activity on campus, support decision-making, and proactively plan for the future. The task schedules created in the tool will be used to equitably deploy staff to maximize workload balancing. The major goals of deploying the software application are to optimize costs, improve services, and to improve employee satisfaction.
