Description:
The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba ("LGCA") is issuing this request for proposals ("RFP") in preparation for a public education initiative on educating youth on topics related to alcohol and cannabis. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified research organizations ("candidates") to conduct focus group research to understand parents' approaches to educating their children on alcohol and cannabis ("project").The LGCA requires focus groups in various provincial locations, including two (2) in Winnipeg, two (2) in Brandon and two (2) in Thompson. The scope of the work includes the development of screening and discussion guides, the recruitment of participants, and the execution of several focus groups. The main deliverables are a methodological report detailing recruitment and data collection processes, documentation of key descriptive demographic participant information, digital recordings and verbatim transcripts of the focus groups, thematic coding of key participant statements from the focus groups, as well as providing a written report, of approximately 8 to 10 pages in length, summarizing key themes and findings.
