Description:
This is a 2 Envelope Tender - refer to Part A - Instructions to Bidders.The Scope of Services for this Lump Sum Tender Package is for the selection of a Construction Phase Sliding Bearings (CPSB) Installation, Load Transfer, and Monitoring Subcontractor with the required experience and qualifications to meet and/or exceed the requirements of the drawings and specifications at Part C - Tender Package Documents (not published to MERX.) As set out in the Tender Documents, this Subcontractor's scope includes but is not limited to all: labour, material, equipment, and supervision required to complete the following: Supply, fabrication and installation of steel spacers and associated accessories. Supply and install all grout required for spacers. Installation of CPSB. Load transfer and management to CPSB (using specified jacks). Monitoring for the duration of the excavation and below grade newstructure. Load transfer must be controlled to ensure that the Peace Tower stays within specified tolerances.. These tolerances must be maintained for the following: underground works; not limited to but including, shoring, rock excavation, rock support, new concrete works from level B3 to level 1.Refer to Part E Preliminary Schedule. The CM reserves the right to obtain pricing from this bidder for the transfer of load from the CPSBs to the permanent base isolators and complete removal of jacks and all associated jacking equipment after permanent load transfer.
