- The IESO will launch the Market Renewal Program (‘MRP-) in 2025, with a view of overhauling Ontario-s electricity market to deliver a more efficient and stable marketplace with competitive and transparent mechanisms that meet system and market participant needs at lower costs. In support of the MSP-s mandate to monitor the market for efficiency and competition, the MAU is seeking the expertise of external vendors to leverage their experiences in monitoring other electricity markets with similar features to the MRP.
