Summary Details:
Notice is hereby given by the City of Vancouver ("City"), on behalf of the Vancouver Board of
Parks and Recreation, of its intent to contract with Habitat Systems Inc. for the supply, delivery and installation of a custom octopus play structure for a themed playground under the Cambie Bridge in Coopers' Park. This playground renewal is part of a larger park renewal to serve the densely populated downtown neighbourhood, approved by the Park Board in the summer of 2021. The project also includes a new Pacific Northwest themed fitness area, a new universal washroom, full renewal of the existing dog off-leash area, new seating, lighting, planting and
other supporting improvements.
Habitat Systems Inc. is a BC based company with twenty-five years experience in installing
playground equipment, outdoor fitness centres, splash pads and waterparks and sports fields.
This company recently worked with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation in the
upgrades to playgrounds at Ash, Winona and Charleson parks in Vancouver. This company has
proposed a park composed of recycled plastic lumber, steel and new plastics with many 'off-the-shelf' items manufacture...
