Description:
This contract involves the provision of one vacuum street sweeper complete with a fully trained operator. More than one unit can be utilized at a time upon mutual agreement. The vacuum street sweeper shall have a minimum holding capacity of eight cubic yards with water spray for dust control. The vacuum street sweeper shall be available for the 2025 and 2026 Spring heavy cleanup and Fall leaf cleaning. A specific route of the City streets will be assigned to the successful supplier.
Note: Machines older than 10 years will not be considered for this tender.
Duration of Work:
17 ½ days at 8 hours per day for a total of 140 hours, more or less, in the Spring Season and
17 ½ days at 8 hours per day for a total of 140 hours, more or less, in the Fall Season.
The City may require the vacuum street sweeper to be supplied in the summer months at the request of the Roads Supervisor or designate.
Note: Working hours during this time are Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Fall cleaning is guided by the amount of leaves already fallen. When 90% of the leaves have fallen on the ground the sweeping operation shall commence.
