Description : SUEZ is looking to replace the two APV - Plate and Frame Heat Exchangers that have been in operation since 1992. These heat exchangers of the single pass design, and have plates made of Hastelloy C- 276 (81 plates per unit). The fundamental goal of this replacement is to replace the Hastelloy Plates with Titanium plates to enhance corrosion resistance. The newly proposed heat exchanger must suffice the heat load that is required by the process system, and the corresponding flow rates. Ideally the new heat exchangers must fit the concrete pad locations as provided in the drawings of this package, and must accommodate for the 8” fibreglass flanges that feed into and out of the heat exchangers. The gaskets must be made of EPDMC. The vendor is encouraged to propose their designs or any alternative solutions to the heat exchangers to minimize corrosion while preserving the heat load demand of the system. Water sample test result is attached with this report.
