Detailed_Description : RFB for the purchase of up to three scientific grade, petrographic microscopes with digital camera attachments and software for the Ontario Ministry of Mines.
Scope of Work : The Ontario Geological Survey (“OGS”) Earth Resources and Geoscience Mapping Section (“ERGMS”) of the Ontario Ministry of MINES (“MINES”) located at 933 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury, Ontario requires new petrographic microscopes and image analysis systems for analysis of thin sections of rocks and minerals as soon as possible. These will be used to conduct petrographic examinations of natural geologic materials. The new petrographic microscope system will include a number of separate individual pieces of equipment and accessories to include: ·high quality strain free optical lenses and components. ·illumination systems with, transmitted, polarized and reflected light capabilities. ·high resolution digital image capture and image analysis system with computer software and hardware to process and analyze images.
