Description:
1.4 BackgroundThe City is in the process of implementing a source separated organic waste program and is transitioning to automated cart-based collection of garbage and organic waste. The City plans to initiate the launch of automated cart-based collection starting with delivery of carts for garbage to approximately 10,000 Curbside Residential Properties in the fall of 2025. Roll out of Garbage Carts to the remaining Curbside Residential Properties is planned for the spring of 2026 followed by roll out of Green Bin Carts to all Curbside Residential Properties in the spring of 2027. Provision of automated cart-based collection of garbage and organic waste to Multi-Residential Properties is planned for 2028. The City is also considering providing automated cart-based collection of garbage and organic waste collection services to local businesses at some point during the Term of the Contract.1.5 Proponent must be Single EntityProponents responding to this RFP must be a single legal entity that, if selected, intends to enter into a Contract with the City. If a Proposal is being submitted jointly by two (2) or more separate entities, the invited Proponent must be the party that will execute a Contract with the City and be responsible for the fulfillment of the Services.
