Detailed_Description : RFB for the delivery and installation of one to three 100 foot x 11 foot above ground steel deck truck weigh scales for the Ministry of Natural Resources. Bidders may submit proposals for:1.One weigh scale in Kirkland Lake, Ontario; 2.One weigh scale in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario; or3.One weigh scale located at Nairn Centre; orAll three weigh scales.
Scope of Work : Deliver and install one to three 100 foot x 11 foot above ground steel deck truck weigh scales.In Ontario, weight measurement using scales is the primary mechanism used for measuring timber harvested from Crown lands and is an essential part of the ongoing recovery of Crown timber charges (revenue) as required under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. The Ministry of Natural Resources manages a large inventory of weigh scale assets across the province. Renewal of aging weigh scale infrastructure is critical for maintaining and enhancing delivery of the scaling program. This procurement is to replace three weigh scales that have reached the end of their life cycle.Each scale is to be delivered to the installation location within 10 weeks of signing the purchase agreement.Installation locations are:1.Rosko Forestry Operations Ltd in Kirkland Lake, Ontario (1 weigh scale)2.Goulard Lumber (1971) Ltd. In Sturgeon Falls, Ontario (1 weigh scale)3.Interfor/EACOM Timber Corporation in Nairn Centre, Ontario (1 weigh scale)
