- The Township of Langley is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the supply and install of water meters as part of the volunteer residential water meter program.The successful proponent will be responsible for the following:Locating and exposing existing water service at property line.Supply and install of meter box and meter setter and any required plumbing appurtenances if not already installed or requiring replacement. Removal and disposal of existing water meter boxes and/or meter setters that are damaged or deemed to require replacement by the contractor and reviewed by the Township of Langley.Immediately notify the Township of Langley if any curb stop is inoperable or leaking. The contractor is not to work on any part of the water system that cannot be isolated.Supply and install of water meter and Itron ERTs (ERTs are provided by TOL) including programming of the Itron ERT to match the water meter readout. Backfill and restoration of surface to original condition as required.The contractor must attempt to bleed air out of the service connection by opening a hose bib on the exterior of the residence or have the homeowner bleed the air from inside the home. If the contractor is not able to have either of these done, a notice must be left for the homeowner to advise of potential air in their water service and how to bleed the air out and what may be observed during the process.As-built service cards and ”Field Maps” software data entry detailing meter install i...
