Description : The Sunshine Coast Regional District is seeking proposals from a qualified contractor to remove existing sound baffles and to supply (100) and install (90) new sound baffles at the Sechelt Aquatic Center (SAC) located at 5500 Shorncliffe Avenue, Sechelt BC. During the process of doing sound baffle replacement the SCRD also requires contractor to replace SCRD supplied cables and clips that go from trusses to light fixtures (3) as well as replace cables and clips from about 26 of the 90 baffles. The remaining 64 baffles have new cables and clips in place already. The replacement sound baffles must meet these requirements: • 2” minimum thickness • Ninety 4- by 7- multi color (4 different colors) • NRC rating 80 • 2 grommet holes in each baffle at a minimum (stainless steel) • Waterproof (PVC wrap preferred) • Fire rated class A This facility will be closed from August 3rd 2021 - Sept 24th. All work must be completed by August 29th 2021th and occur during the facility closure period. The SCRD has several large projects taking place during the 2021 annual maintenance closure as such these dates are subject to change.
