Tender are invited for Supply and Delivery of Bulk Peat Propagation Mix

Tender Details SCOPE
The Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development is looking to establish an Estimated Quantity Contract for the supply and delivery of Bulk Peat Propagation Mix on an as and when required basis for the Kingsclear Forest Nursery.

This contract will be in place from Contract Award to March 31, 2026 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year term.

The estimated quantities of compressed bulk bales to be purchased are as follows:
- 2025/2026 - 155
- 2026/2027 - 235

OPTION YEAR PRICING
Pricing will be subject to negotiation of a satisfactory contract price not to exceed the tendered price plus any published increase in the New Brunswick Consumer Price Index (CPI). If a mutually agreed upon price cannot be reached GNB reserves the right to
re-tender or re-award.

SPECIFICATIONS

- Sphagnum peat moss for production of forest seedlings in paper plugs (Ellepot)

- PROPAGATION MIX 85/15 - 85% peat moss, 15% perlite with wetting agent

- IMPORTANT - double-screened and no sticks allowed

- Fine grade sphagnum peat moss 0-5mm

- Fine horticultural grade perlite

- PH range 4.2 - 4.8
