Description:
Detailed_Description : The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry (MNRF) has recently completed the design for a new 2,500 square foot building containing five recirculating fish culture systems for fisheries research. The facility is divided into five rearing areas, all of which have the same number and size of tanks and identical filtration systems. This facility will be used to house all life stages of cold, cool and warm water fish species (eggs, fry, adult/brood stock). The equipment requirements are based on the need to conduct research and experiments in replicated rearing spaces. Two of the rooms are isolated from the other rearing facilities and have the capacity to serve as quarantine units, if required.This RFB is for the supply, provision and delivery of fish culture tanks for a fisheries research facility.
Scope of Work : This RFB is for the supply, provision and delivery of fish culture tanks including large (1,300L) tanks and small (80L) circular tanks and lids that are needed to construct five identical recirculating fish culture systems. It does not include the installation and plumbing of the tanks. Installation and plumbing will be completed by the general contractor once the building is complete. All tanks must be delivered and approved by March 1, 2024 to the Codrington Fisheries Research Facility in Codrington Ontario.
