Manitoba Hydro is seeking to replace the existing three air compressors which form part of the Grand Rapids generating station tailwater depression system.Manitoba Hydro is interested in receiving Information Packages from Respondents who have the experience and capacity necessary to undertake the work regarding the supply and delivery of air compressors for Grand Rapids Generating Station tailwater depression air system.The proposed scope of the work includes the following:Three air compressors that form part of the Grand Rapids Tailwater Depression System. The air compressor assemblies will be installed at Grand Rapids Generation Station in a gallery at elevation 682- to supply air through a header to a bank of 10 air receivers with a total storage capacity of approximately 2700 cubic feet. The receivers will discharge to near atmospheric pressure when called up to depress the water in a draft tube. The compressors will be required to recharge the receivers to full pressure for the next cycle and the lead compressor shall then cycle to maintain the receivers at full pressure.Each compressor assembly shall be complete with an after-cooler, condensate drains, filters and a sound attenuating enclosure with an electrical control panel all mounted on a common base.The size of each compressor assembly shall be a maximum of 70 inches wide, 110 inches long and 80 inches high.Detailed Purchaser's Requirements are provided in the Technical Requirements.
