Description:
The Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskPower to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of 16 Different Substation Transformers, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).The Work is comprised of the supply of multiple high reliability three-phase substation transformers that require minimal maintenance and have an extremely long expected service life. These substation transformers will be used in the SaskPower grid for serving loads with extreme variations in loading, ambient temperature, and high emergency loading conditions.The approximate number and type of substation transformers included in the Work are as follows, with each transformer having a different delivery location and delivery date: Two (2) 72-25 kV 15/20/25 MVA transformers Two (2) 138/72-25 kV 15/20/25 MVA transformers Seven (7) 138-25 kV 15/20/25 MVA transformers Five (5) 138-25 kV 30/40/50 MVA transformers
