- The Campus Incident System (CIS) is a custom-built and maintained information system used to record and report on all student conduct incidents on campus. It was designed over a decade ago to close the gap between local records in separate Faculties and Academic Support Units where, prior to the CIS, each kept their own records on student incidents. The CIS provides a holistic view of a student-s behaviour so that worrisome conduct across several areas on campus can be recognized and addressed. As campus needs have evolved and technology has progressed, supporting the CIS is no longer feasible, and the current system will not be able to meet the future needs of the University of Waterloo.
