Scope of Work
This project involves the removal and replacement of the existing safety railing located at round the bins at the Strathroy Waste Transfer Station located at 27786 Pike Road. The objective is to enhance safety for facility personnel and visitors by ensuring the railing meets current safety standards.
Work includes:
Remove and dispose of existing railingFabrication and installation of new railing as per drawing specifications that will be providedFull restoration of site once work is completedSpecial Consideration
During the period of work, the waste transfer station must remain operational. The waste transfer station has the following hours of operation:
March to November - Every Wednesday and Saturday;Open: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
During the period of work, the waste transfer stations must remain operational. The successful bidder will need to ensure that access is maintained for residents to use the bins as well as contractors to be able to access the bins for removal. Safety is paramount and the successful bidder must ensure that at all times the public and workers are protected
Timelines for Work
It is expected that once the successful bidder has been awarded the project, the work will commence as soon as possible. From award the successful bidder will have a maximum of 3 months to complete the work and no later than October 31, 2025.
