Description:
The Town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta has a population of over 16,000 people and is located 20 kilometers west of Red Deer, Alberta on Highway 11. With one of the finest recreational lakes in the province, the town plays host to over 750,000 visitors annually. The quality of life makes Sylvan Lake an ideal place to live, work, and play.
This project requires research, analysis and design that culminate in the successful development of the Town of Sylvan Lake 2026 - 2029 Strategic Plan.
Consulting services will consist of, but not limited to the following:
In the month of February 2026, host and facilitate a two day and one evening strategic planning workshop balancing discussion with decision making. Provide consulting and facilitation services for necessary research supporting Council-s strategic priorities.Confirm vision, mission and core values; revisit if directed by council Review of corporate plans and reports to ensure the Strategic Plan links with other key documents i.e. Municipal Development Plan, Municipal Sustainability Plan, 2020 Water Master Plan, 2023 Recreation Parks & Open Spaces Master Plan, and the Destination Leadership Management PlanWork with participants to ensure that the 2026 - 2029 Strategic Plan matches corporate and financial capacity and is achievable within the timelineWork with Senior Administration to create an implementation plan and roadmap that includes a Corporate Plan with SMART KPI-s, and key performance indicators
