- The CBVRCE has a requirement to rent inside storage space in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The initial term will be for two years with an anticipated start date within the month of June 2025 and end date of June 2027. The CBVRCE would like options to renew for two (2) one (1) year periods after this initial term. Space requirement is 1,000 square feet to 1,500 square feet. Space may be separate storage lockers and not necessarily one large room. Space must be heated, lit, dry and secure. The minimum heat requirement for a heated storage space will be 10 degrees Celsius. The CBVRCE reserves the right to determine which storage space solution best meets its needs for this project. The monthly rate is to include all utilities. The space must have its own exterior entrance with a secure locking system/security system. It is preferred that the space be ground level and the entrance accessible directly from a parking/loading area. The intent is to store furnishing and equipment. Building must be insured and owned by the prospective bidder and the bidder must be legally able to enter into a rental/lease agreement. The successful vendor is responsible for snow removal and any repairs/maintenance required for the duration of the agreement. Access to the rental space by those other than the CBVRCE staff is to be pre-approved by the CBVRCE Operational Services staff.
