Tender are invited for St. Mary Dam St.- Mary River Water Temperature Modelling
Project Description : The contract objectives align with department objectives to provide sustainable management of natural resources and water management infrastructure. The outcomes demonstrate an appreciation of evolving public expectations for responsible and accountable natural resource management. The work supports departmental objectives to provide multiple benefits from water management infrastructure while minimizing environmental costs and maintaining ecological integrity.The project objectives are as follows:• Develop methodology for water temperature monitoring;• Determine other parameters to measure and develop monitoring methodology;• Accumulate an annual data set for key water quality parameters (primarily water temperature) and other relevant parameters (such as air temperature and stream flow);• Develop and calibrate water quality model(s);• Based on the updated water quality model, update water quality instream flow needs recommendations;• Develop recommendations for implementation of water quality IFN flows in the context of water management requirements for storage and use.
