- Description:
- The Town of Hinton is vulnerable to wildfire threat and is in need of mitigation measures to reduce the probability of catastrophic impacts. As part of a multi-phased fireguard project, the Town is seeking to contract an experienced vegetation management proponent to deliver mulching at the site of an existing and overgrown fireguard of 58.2 hectares (ha) as outlined on the Project Map (Attachment 1). The proponent will be expected to execute the detailed project plan as outlined on the Detailed Project Plan (Attachment 2). The location of the existing fireguard is within critical wildlife habitat, and therefore the successful proponent will need to demonstrate ability and capacity to execute the project in alignment with applicable legislation and regulatory bodies.Questions must be submitted by email no later than - Mar 10, 2025 at 4:00 pm (MT)
