Description:
The Municipality is soliciting proposals from qualified General Contractors with demonstrated experience of projects of similar size, scope and complexity to submit a Proposal for General Contracting Services for the new South Bowmanville Recreation Centre (SBRC).
The SBRC project is divided into 2 phases, the Municipality intends to enter into a contract for the construction of Phase 1. It is essential that the General Contractors intending to bid on this project have the expertise, experience, technical skills, bonding/surety requirements, financial standing and sufficient capital and capacity to successfully complete the Tendered work. The Municipality intends to award the Contract based on the Proposal which best supports the Municipality-s requirements.
A contract shall only arise between the General Contractor and the Municipality if the Municipality has made an award. The Contract to be executed shall be the Canadian Construction Documents Committee CCDC 2 - 2020 Stipulated Price Contract, as amended by the Municipality-s Supplementary Conditions. This Contract will constitute the entire understanding and agreement between the parties regarding the Work to be purchased hereunder. The Municipality reserves the right to further modify the CCDC 2 - 2020 Supplementary Conditions prior to tender award.
